What About Now? VOTE!

Did you VOTE? I did! So did Hubby! This election, no matter who your candidate, is going to be historic, so get in there and DO IT!

Today, was Bonnie's Memorial. It was very moving, and hit me hard. I didn't expect that. In fact, I felt like a blubbering idiot. Apparently, I identified with her struggle with chronic illness more than I realized. It was also the first memorial I had been to since the brain tumor... I don't know... but I was wrecked. I have such a headache from crying and trying not to cry! Ack.

Ilene and Bob are holding up as well as they can. DogBoy and his sis, Peanut, too. The eulogies by Bonnie's nephew and brother were wonderful. The family is really pulled together and supporting each other. It was beautiful to see.

Bonnie didn't see the glass as half empty, or even half full. She always saw the glass and full to overflowing. I will not forget that and will try my damndest to always do the same. Thanks for the inspiration, Bonnie.

Go vote!

be well...

Hmm, my second attempt to leave this comment. My dearest Dawn, you are perfectly ok to blubber.
May your glass always runneth over.

It sounds like it was a rough day, with the memorial service. I hope you'll be okay, and that Bonnie's family will find all the love and support that they need.

Keeping my fingers crossed about tonight's results....

Hugs, Beth

:( I'm sure it was a hard day for you. I can't do funerals very well. Every since my dad passed away, they have never been very easy for me. I'm sure Bonnie's family were glad you were there. True friends are there during the hardest of times. Bonnie sounds like a great person, and an inspiration to many people. Hugs - Julie P.S. I voted weeks ago!

seems like a nice memorial for your friend

(we voted the weekend before last as we could early vote; son is waiting in line as I speak to vote in his first presidential election; would take a picture if I could but he wouldn't like the fanfare and I wouldn't share it on the blog anyway, but it is an important election all ways around :)

Everything you've had to deal with on top of the loss of Bonnie, would have anyone in tears. Tears are a fountain flowing from the river of your heart dear one. Try to find some peace in the next few days. My thoughts are with you in this sorrowful time. (Hugs)Indigo

We never know when grief will overcome us. I'm sure you did identify with her. I do believe you see the cup running over also.

I just got home from voting. Our polls don't open until 7 here so I had to vote after work. HUGS

Bless your heart, I'm sorry it hit you so hard. I truly doubt you were blubbering as you say. She sounds like a positive & wonderful person. I wish her family the best.

Hello! Yes, I voted. :) Sorry to hear about Bonnie... can I tell you how dense I am? I just figured out to "follow" here. I followed you from the start but didn't get any updates... I'm like, "what is up w/that?" Of course, you're not the only one. I figured I had done something wrong. Well, yes & no. I did it right, I just didn't click-in on how to do it. Duh. What-ever! I'm here now. :)

So sorry to hear about Bonnie. While I'm certain that for her it was a blessing, it is always so difficult for those left behind.
I voted. In the end it didn't matter anywhere but in my mind, but I voted.

For its worth, I believe you now have Bonnie forever, will never lose her. Someday you'll see her again, I don't know how or where or why but I do know there's order in life-death-life. I think we're fated to know the people we meet or are related to in life, therefore they are part of our complete destiny, which must include physical death. In truth, this whole amazing miracle is reason to cry in both sorrow and joy. http://cathy-daretothink.blogspot.com/
